basic information
My real-life name is Tobias Hoerburger, and I live in Regensburg (Bavaria, Germany).
I'm 24 years of age and a student of technical computer science at the local
University of Applied Sciences

I'm about to graduate. As part of my studies I have worked as a trainee at Information Architects (IA Information Systems), CONCEPTNET Business Internet Services and Genias Graphics.
I'm the founder and administrator of the bulletin board FORUM.XUFO.NET which currently has >10k pageviews and >100 postings per day and is, as far as I can tell, the world's only "multicopter" developer community.
my hobbies
- Digital photography and related stuff; this one should be obvious...
- Riding my bicycles ("exploring" the region)
- Geocaching combined with the two activities above
- Building and flying radio controlled model aircraft
- Programming, raytracing and writing web pages
- Emitting nonsense, puns and weird ideas.
- I listen to music practically non-stop and I collect music video clips, but that's more of an addiction, not a real "hobby".

Music: Trance, Electric House, New Age, Ambient (and some of that general "pop" stuff).
My favourite artists range roughly from Mike Oldfield, Enigma, Shaped Signs and Adiemus to Scooter, RMB and Girls Aloud, but of course I listen to hundreds of other interprets as well.

TV, movies:
Stargate SG-1, The Simpsons, Futurama, as well as "Alpha Centauri" and other science programmes, especially on archaeology (although I never wanted to be an archaeologist).
I very rarely go to a cinema as I don't like action movies, thrillers and romances... and the comedy movies are getting awfully stupid these days. Almost all films I went to the movies for in the last years were CG animated films.

Sunrise, fog, time-lapse and slowmotion videos, skepticism, electronic gadgets, most italian and some chinese food, cryptic abbreviations, scientific expressions ...

TV, movies: German "soap opera" series and supposedly "funny" movies (mostly about teenagers) including embarassing everyday situations; casting shows, talk shows, soccer games, thrillers...

Sauerkraut, sausages and most "typical german" food; combustion engines; competetive sports; extremistic, drunk, violent or otherwise stupid people; children messing around with food.

I don't have a girl friend ... no, I'm not gay and I'm not a monk, I guess I'm just too unobtrusive

I don't have (nor want) a car and/or driving license (for economic, ecologic and psychologic reasons)

I don't use any drugs (which includes cigarettes, alcohol and team spirit in my definition)

I practically never "go out" in the evening (in the usual sense) and I have never been to a disco

I don't like "shopping", I only spend my money on electronics and "gadgets"

I am a Bright and atheist, I only thing I "believe" in is quantum physics, and I think life is just a very peculiar malfunction of matter. I also think that "purpose", "meaning", "god" etc. are just a product of our own brains that required these concepts to keep our ancestors up and running. However all this doesn't make me depressed or anything :-)
