A thick fog was lurking in the shadow of the Scheuchenberg (east of Regensburg) when I started my first day on the "Infrared" tour of Bavaria in August 2004.

Layered silhouettes of trees in the morning mist the same day.

I was kinda late and on my way to the university (and about to miss the beginning of another C++ lecture) when I caught this wonderful view of a chapel in the morning sun in Koenigswiesen.

Ashore a lake near Regensburg, a tiny spider starts to build a new web short after sunrise. I'm not too satisfied with the (very obvious) smoothing necessary to avoid re-compressing the CCD noise.

Rays of sunlight show in the mist over the mouth of the Naab river, west of Regensburg. I applied gaussian smoothing to the upper left part to reduce CCD noise.

One of yesterday's spider webs, wet with dew.

When these layers of mist rose from a pond near Kallmuenz on this wonderful morning in early May 2001, I had already been up and riding my bicycle for more than three hours.

One of the tourist magnets of the region, the "Donaudurchbruch", where the river Danube forces its way through a narrow rock passage, in the morning mists in May 2000.
